Tunes and poetry in Common Meter abound, among them many plainsong hymns, poetry of Emily Dickinson, hymnal favorites (O God Our Help in Ages Past, Amazing Grace, While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night), and popular tunes (House of the Rising Sun)...all interchangeable in Common Meter.
